I used to work for The UPS Store 4275 out in Albuquerque, NM, and my store was a tight ship - friendly to everyone, focused on building community success with the print department I managed, and followed all procedures to the nines. We made it a point to be as detailed as possible to help the customer understand everything. And, you know, the basic needs for a service job: smile, engage, and appreciate customers. I shipped out a package from the Frandor location the other day and was not asked most questions required for clear and proper shipping. No questions on what was in the package, description of goods said "--" ... even the unfriendly, overworked USPS clerk will bother to ask if there are any batteries, firearms or hazmat materials!! No explanation on what I was signing on the PSO, did not let me confirm the shipping label's accuracy before it was applied, I was not offered extra insurance, they did not tell me the amount of insurance I was automatically covered for, I had both the to/from addresses written down for staff ease and my new "from" address was not updated in the CMS system, they did not ask me or discuss how I packaged the item, and what the procedures are for customer packed versus center packed damage control... felt less like a person and more like a cash cow to whoever the staff was that I worked with (wouldn't know who, no name tag!) Two stars because the store was very neat and tidy, and the staff wasn't rude, per se, just very un-caring. If UPS Corporate pays any attention to Google reviews, they ought to offer this center some serious re-training with an emphasis on politely and amicably explaining the many details that come with manifesting shipments and the processes of UPS delivery... makes it easier for the customer, and easier for the manager to mediate any shipment problems that could arise when the customer is well-informed. I have a feeling you already need to know UPS inside and out, like I do, to feel confident in mailing anything out of this center. Yikes!

I worked here a long time ago, and I can tell you that we were loved. I was the assistant manager, and we knew our customers by name....where they were shipping.....always fun and light conversations. I'm sure if I put a pic up, a lot of you folks would remember me.

Sent a package out from this store. My package then got returned back to the store. So I went back into the store to try to figure out why it was returned. After I looked at the package I found out the reason. The apartment number was wrong on the slip (that UPS types into their system) The accidentally put a "5" instead of a "S". Which is understandable. But then they said it was my fault that this mistake occurred and I would have to re pay for the whole thing in order for it to get re-shipped! Obviously I wasn't going to do that for a simple mistake they made. They gave me a phone number to corporate UPS and I spoke with the head of customer service, she then said "I'm sorry for this to happen, since the location you shipped it out from is a privately owned location there is nothing we can do. But if I were them or If you were to ship it out of a corporate store, we would have shipped it out free of charge. It's unfortunate they wouldn't do this for you." Wish the situation was handled better, I'm sure this store could have done something about this situation instead of blaming their customer and saying there is absolutely nothing we can do.

I have bad news for all these reviews....Rick is the OWNER of the store, and he has a penchant for hiring scummy people. After I left, the whole store basically went into a tail spin. Shame to hear he is miserable and taking it out on his customers. I've not been back to Michigan for 2 years, but these reviews are cringe worthy. Maybe you should read these and make some changes, Rick. This is probably taking loads of sales from you.....but you never really were a people person.

Came here on a Saturday morning, traveling from out of town, to get some closing docs notarized and overnighted back. Mike was here, to notarize the docs, and he also was efficient and calm and helped me get through a huge stack with ease. He also was able to assist Other customers while I completed paperwork. In years of coming to UPS stores, he may be the best employee I have ever encountered. Truly.

Dude just put me on hold and locked the door in my face. Horrible place.
