I'll never set foot in a Green Cab after seeing the kind of driving they tolerate from their drivers. On my way home tonight, one of their cabs came flying up behind me on Okemos Rd doing at least 10 mph over the speed limit. They then swung into the right lane, which was ending, and nearly side swiped me trying to pass me before the lane ended. Completely unacceptable and dangerous driving.
Dispatch is friendly and drivers are friendly. Drivers are social and down to earth, it's like getting a ride from a friend. Makes the cab experience positive
I give this ride experience a one star fairly because they did get me to mt destination in time. Early in fact. The only reason probably because he was going 10mph the whole way. The driver was horrible, made me want to take the wheel and show him how to drive myself. He could barely stay in his lane, swerved multiple times. In a school zine, going 10mph of course, he used his blinker to trun into the right lane, got in the middoe of both lanes for about 3 seconds, then went back into the left lane. Its like he was begging to get us pulled over. The van used was extremely dirty, had lights on the dash, one including the abs. I wish they'd invest in dash cams in the vehicles, newer clean vehicles, and evaluations of their drivers
Whether you have a pleasant ride or not is entirely based on luck. I take Green Cab whenever I have a flight from Lansing Airport, so I've taken well over 10 trips so far. I'd say it's been 40% great and 60% horrible. Some drivers take the effort to arrive on time and maintain their cars in a clean condition. Some drivers arrive late and their cars are really smelly and dirty. Also, cab fares have been inconsistent. I've been charged various prices for the same ride (same distance, at a similar time of the day at non peak early morning each time I take a cab) which ranged anywhere between $17 and $24 (before tip). Interestingly, the lower prices were usually charged by the drivers with a great service who arrived on time, while the higher prices were charged by those who also happened to be late and impolite. Wished they could install meters in the cabs. Also, for comparison, the same ride costs around $12 on uber. I'm fine with paying the premium for a cab but at least your cab drivers ought to be professional and your fare system needs to be more transparent.
I am a Service Provider of Roadside Assistance covering the Capital Area and a life resident @ 4:40pm 10/28/17 I observed one of your Vans that came off from Aurelius Rd onto Malcolm X and failed to Yeild came in front of me then PASSED the driver that was in front of me until he cut in, speed limit is 25 MPH and not a passing zone, I couldn't find him after that, if this is General practice of your driver's then expect tickets in the mail as my Dash Cam catches all, getting to the customer quickly is a priority for us all but endangering life isn't part of it, give a Correct ETA and there'd be no reason to break the LAW.
