Lansing has few true treasures, but this is one of them. Just a few blocks west of the infamous malfunction junction (Frandor) where a drivers and pedestrian takes their life in their hands, there is a place you can easily walk to, get what you need, visit with the workers or a neighbor, AND get a good deal. Shopping here costs no more than anywhere else and the experience is vastly superior to the places the "Mart"ians go. This is the only place to get your groceries!

Great local food mart with all the stuff you need for a quick stop after work or a full grocery trip. Fantastic meat department and a recently remodeled produce section. Slightly (very slight, and their sales are awesome) higher in price than your meijer or walmart but worth it since you know the money is staying local.
I buy everything I can at Apple Market. It makes going to get groceries a pleasant experience. I know where everything is, and the people are great. It just makes for a far more enjoyable all around shopping experience than the various super stores that make you feel like cattle.
Small, cozy place to shop. Prices are a little higher than a chain store, bit just a little. Very friendly and helpful service! They have a deli and sell ready to eat items there. Smells wonderful.
