Beautiful family fun place to visit. Learn about Michigan history. Alot to see for every age level. Wheelchair and stroller accessible.
A wonderful history museum with something for everyone. We really appreciated the recently done exhibit featuring information added by the local Anishnabeg tribespeople. It's something seen far too infrequently in museums that have American Indian exhibits.
Beautiful buildings and nicely displayed exhibits, looking forward to returning to see the updated exhibits when they are complete. Our family's favorite part is free admission on Sunday, it allows us to make a small purchase from their gift shop and have a penny flattened and printed with one of the four designs available.
Amazing value for a great museum! Some great historic cars, wonderful volunteers.
There was so much to see I can't believe I haven't been there before. I took my 18 month old in the summer on a Tuesday and it was perfect. It wasn't crowded so I could let her run around while I read at the different exhibits. There were very few things I had to tell her not to touch which was nice. Kept us busy two hours. Will be back because I didn't get to read all I wanted due to said toddler.
