Wouldn't recommend, won't help you, just upsell and guilt trip you. Michigan is an overall terrible place compared to everywhere else I've lived and this places practices doesn't help change my opinion.
I do not like this place. I do not know why I got treated badly, maybe because of how young I am. But they made me feel like I did not know how to care for my dog. They are very expensive and small. I recommend Miller Animal Clinic. The only good thing about this place is that it is inside a petsmart.
We are going on 2 years with Banfield. We signed up for their insurance right away. They always call us when Pearl is ready for her next check-up, shots, etc. With the Insurance, I didn't have to pay out of pocket to get her spayed or any other appointment. Also, twice in the past month I have had to have proof of her shots. When I called Banfiled, the lady pulled up my file and said she can fax my info anywhere I like at that moment. So helpful and happy to do it.
I have never had a bad experience here. Staff is knowledgeable and patient. They handle everything with professionalism and care. They genuinely make me feel as though they care for my fur baby and myself. The other great thing is that I never (ever) feel pressured to buy anything. They don't insist that only one brand of any product is safe or the best (like a lot of places we have been do.) We started coming here because the location was convenient and their hours were better able to accommodate our schedules, but we have continued to go because we truly feel comfortable taking our puppers there for care (which for me, says a lot).
I cant speak to their level of care, as I have never been here, but their client relations needs a lot of work.
I tried to call to acquire records for a pet. They asked if I could be "placed on a brief hold". I held on the line for over 12 minutes, (I have a call timer,) during which time, I heard the staff pick up the phone while saying nothing to me and put me back on hold 12 times, (I counted that as well,) before they finally helped me. Unprofessional.
