My first experience at Smokey Bones was very pleasant, my server Jon was super attentive and made me feel as if we were friends. He suggested me the pulled pork and it was delicious! Jon definitely made my visit to Smokey Bones a great one! I will be returning and requesting him !
I only come here for the ribs, though. The briskets are also good from what I hear. But, if I wanted to eat something other than ribs or briskets then I would go somewhere else.
Went to Smokey Bones on a Sunday at 4 p.m. Got sat right away only to sit for 20 minutes and not get greeted. Went up to the host stand and asked to see the manager and 10 minutes later she shows up. Also note she was sitting in the bar area eating. I told her the situation and all she said was "sorry we were going through a shift change. So we went to Meat BBQ in old town instead. Typical chain only cares about the $$$ not the customer. I would rather support a local establishment.
No one noticed us when we Walked in until we started making small talk. Waited too long for our order to be taken (15 mins). They're not busy at all. More than half of the tables are Empty. Been waiting for my sweet tea for almost 40 mins....small portions. Some menu items doesn't have prices and their prices here are just too high for the amount of food given..... go somewhere else.
The only reason I gave two stars is because the sever was very nice but the meal was awful. My wife ordered the signature macaroni and cheese with smoke sausage and maybe took five bites. The noodles were hard, and the dish was very soupy. I had a burger requested it cooked medium but it arrived well done and dry. I only ate 1/3 of it, would have got a better burger at Wendy's for half the price. We wont be going back, if you want good smoked food go to Meat.
The ribs here are really good. Sometimes the cooks mess up on orders, but if you let the waiter or waitress know then you will be compensated. I have seen them offer free deserts or deduct the meal from the bill. You can even have the meal recooked if you'd like that instead.
