Smelled like smoke in mattress, and room and it’s a NON Smoking room.
Shower curtain had visible black mold on it. There was some kind of food splattered on the wall behind the TV and the room smelled like cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room. I stayed here about 2 years ago and came back because the room was cheap and most importantly clean, but I believe it was newly remodeled at the time. These rooms are definitely not being maintained very well. I would've gotten another hotel but stuck with this one because there was no other availability in the area, and I was pressed for time. I won't stay at this Motel 6 again.
Staff were very friendly and nice. I got to check in early around 6am, and although this location didn't have a crib like they normally do, I had plenty of room for the pack and play I brought with me. The room was clean, and smelled good. The tv was very nice and I was glad that it was stuck down because of the kids. I didn't have to worry about that, and every non worry is nice as a parent. There was no shampoo in the hotel room, but when I asked the front desk I managed to get a bottle of head and shoulders.
Never booking this room again! They did move us the next day because I was unsatisfied. Our room for that night was a bit more pleasant. Had an actual bathroom area with standard bathroom shower and tub area and a bathroom counter.
The shower never got warm. There’s no door to the shower, just a small curtain. No accommodations like soap, shampoo or even a place to rest your personal items on in the shower stall. We had ONE towel, one soap dish outside the shower wall(?). Perhaps it was going to be a handicap stall design, that fell short. No bars or safety apparatus anywhere.
Staff was very nice. Room 502 is a very sad room!
Staff was nice, very nice rates. However, when we woke up in the morning, we noticed a condom out of the wrapper lying on the floor half way under the bed. It definitely was not ours and my wife was disgusted. When I told the front desk, they offered me $25 off of the room. I probably will not be returning.
I'm giving a 4 star because it was a cheap 50$ hotel for the price, and had a decent night. Nothing was perfect, but I've stayed at much worse in hotels that were over 100$ dollars. I would stay here again in the future if I couldn't afford something more and was looking for a cheaper rate for the night.
The only major issue I had with the room was the heat. It got way too hot with the heat on, and the fan cooled it down too much. So I had to get up about 4 times to keep changing them to keep a nice temperature for the baby. He was either hot hot, sweating or cold, cold freezing.
The beds themselves were clean, but I hated the scratchiness of the pillow and sheets. The blankets were soft and warm though. The beds were very stiff, and not super comfortable, but I had a feeling they wouldn't be super nice for the price I paid. There was enough room with 2 beds for all four of us, although my husband is 6'2 and had a hard time getting comfortable due to the size of the beds ranging on smaller.
The mattress felt like 700 persons have slept in it and left rocks beneath it. The bathroom is basically what I have seen in prison movies. Floor uneven and I fell twice because of the slope between bedroom area and restroom.
The carpets had a few stains on them, but i'd expect that in a hotel and it didn't hinder anything. The shower was clean, although there was some stains on the bottom of the tub. The shower I had was enjoyable, and it came with some little soaps that were sealed, so i wasn't worried about anyone else having used them. The towels were way too small, and there was nothing to prevent water going onto the floor as the shower curtain was basically useless. The water was warm, and I had no issues. the water pressure was a bit on the sad side.
Rooms had strong cigarette smell odor. Had to actually get a refund and book the Quality Suites next door. Manager was very nice about refunding us.
