I love this place, nice staff. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. I will definitely visit this place for one more time. I strongly recommend this place.

We've not had good experiences at Rodeway Inns in the past, and said we'd never stay at another (and we're not picky!), but everywhere else was full. This one is shabby, the tub was dirty, and I'm pretty sure I killed a baby roach!

This is by far the absolute worst hotel I've ever experienced. My family booked two double rooms for one night, but we left within twenty minutes of checking in. The first room we walked into had a large chunk of black mold on the ceiling. After pointing it out to staff, we were told "Oh, that's okay." We responded it was absolutely not okay and asked for a new room. The second room checked into had a broken heater (mind you, this is the middle of December in Michigan). My personal experience with the third room is what really upset me. I have past experience working as a front desk clerk at a small hotel and I was the last person to check the room before marking it available to check in. Five steps into this room and I had already counted five major issues. First, the light switch by the door did not turn any lights on; we were later told it was to turn the television on. Second, the floor was unvacuumed and had large crumbs of food scattered around; no response to this complaint. Third, no telephone was to be found; we were later told there was no telephone line to this room. Stains on the bed make number four; again, no response to this complaint. Finally, the biggest issue I found, there was no smoke alarm to be found. After searching, I found the alarm in the top drawer of the dresser. We were told this was most likely from a housekeeper removing it. What housekeeper?! That place was disgusting from ceiling to carpet. While waiting for our reservations to be cancelled, we found more issues: white film on the bathroom door and doorframe, one of the two lights that would actually work had to be yanked so hard you hurt your hand, and there was no security door or lock to keep the guests safe. I wish I could give this hotel lower than one star, as it does not even deserve that. I don't want to sound picky, but the combination of all these issues was more than these consumers could handle. I hope this review keeps someone from having the experience we did - or worse.

This place is horrible. All the 5 star reviews were made by employees, owners, or friends and family of owners. Place is dirty and overrun. Heater didn’t work, my non-smoking room stunk of tobacco. Crack pipe burns on table. Fridge worked but was so loud I unplugged it. Window blocks out no noise from freeway. Bed is very uncomfortable. Obvious drug activity going on. Do not bring children here. Do not go here.

After a long day at the Michigan football game, my mother and I showed up to this "hotel" and they told us they had no record of our reservation. It was 11pm, and they said they couldn't help us out because they were full. I was IN THE CAR when my mother called to confirm the reservation earlier that morning and can testify from the sound of his voice and accent that the man she spoke with earlier that day was WORKING THAT NIGHT. She even let him know we'd be arriving around 11pm and they confirmed that'd be just fine. We arrived at this "hotel", and after a good 20 minutes of searching for our reservation with varying names and, most importantly, CONFIRMATION NUMBER, they blatantly lied to our faces by saying there was never a reservation placed. We drove back home 2.5 hours and monitored my mom's credit card accordingly. As predicted, they charged her! Only $25 dollars, but the amount isn't the point. After calling them to ask what on earth the charges were for, they told her it was a cancellation fee. They went so far as to LIE and say she had called to cancel the reservation earlier that day! Needless to say we are investigating all avenues on how to prosecute and SPREAD THE WORD about how ridiculous this place is. SCREW YOU, Rodeway Inn. I regret not filming our interactions and, instead of leaving that night, wish I would have refused to leave and posted up on your crappy couches in the lobby for the night instead of driving all the way home.
